A hospitality client with a destination wedding website that wasn’t converting. The solution: a complete redesign including AI quiz, multilingual support, and premium experience.
The Problem
Lomas Hospitality operates luxury resorts in Riviera Maya. Their destination weddings vertical had huge potential but their website was a bottleneck:
- Generic template design
- English only
- No user personalization
- Contact forms nobody filled out
- Zero cultural differentiation
- Premium design with hero videos
- 6 languages with cultural context
- AI quiz that recommends venues
- AI chat for 24/7 questions
- Specialization in Hindu, Mexican, and Western weddings
The Solution
We built a complete platform from scratch with Next.js 15:
AI-Powered Quiz
5 minutes to find the perfect venue. The algorithm analyzes budget, style, group size, and cultural preferences to recommend the best resorts.
Smart Chat
Fluenty widget integrated to answer questions 24/7. Trained with context from each resort, packages, and policies.
9 Premium Resorts
From El Dorado Royale to Palafitos Overwater. Each resort with gallery, capacities, pricing, and unique features.
6 Native Languages
English, Spanish, Hindi, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and German. Not literal translations—real cultural context for each market.

- AI: OpenAI + Vercel AI SDK for the quiz

- i18n: Dictionary system with per-market SEO
- State: Zustand with persistence
Cultural Differentiation
It’s not just translation. It’s understanding each market:
Hindu Weddings — Multi-day ceremonies, vegetarian kitchen requirements, spaces for specific rituals like Sangeet and Mehndi.
Mexican Weddings — Traditions like the lazo, arras, mariachi integration, regional cuisine menus.
German Market — Formal tone (Sie), emphasis on quality and precision, detailed contract information.
Brazilian Market — Warm and family-oriented tone, emphasis on group experience, flexible payment options.
The Quiz in Action
The main differentiator. In 5 minutes:
- Style — Intimate, classic, grand, or ultra-luxury
- Budget — From $599 to $10,000+
- Culture — Hindu, Mexican, Western, or fusion
- Size — From 2 people to 200+ guests
- Extras — Photographer, DJ, decor, transportation
The algorithm matches answers against the database of 9 resorts and 4 packages to deliver a personalized recommendation.
Results
This project served as the pilot for Fluenty. The API reached v2.7 by iterating with real users:
- Chat widget handling questions in 6 languages
- Quiz integration for conversation context
- Analytics on every interaction to improve responses
The site is in production and initial metrics show significantly higher engagement than the previous site.

This is a living project. Next iterations:
- Direct booking — Reserve packages without leaving the site
- Couple dashboard — Full planning process tracking
- Vendor integration — Connect with local photographers, DJs, florists
